Default Update #43..The End! A Special Thank You to the Forum Members for Their Support!

I want to thank all those who sent me good wishes throughout the build, whether it was in the various update posts, PMs or e-mails. As I mentioned recently, I really was touched by every-one's requests asking me to keep posting. My goal was to show how to build a safe race car. You all made it a wonderful experience and I hope to show many of you the car up close in person at various track events in the future.

Well here it was April 1, 2008. The track opened today and there were a few cars out. I brought the Beast out but with temperatures at 37 degrees and a slight misting rain, I wasn't that eager to mow lawn today. She went right from the trailer to the garage so we'll have to wait for another day soon.

The history is in these threads:

Here are pics of the final scheme. I will be adding Katech decals shortly which will be the last addition.

Here are a few that were taken today.

I will throw a few pics up once the weather turns and I get her on track. I hope to get some video up soon. I am waiting on a few parts.

....oh and yes....my Z06 is still my favorite street car!

Absolutely stunning! I have followed these threads from day one and have loved every update. You are the root of many peoples jealousy and the car turned out better then I could have imagined.
Congrats on finally getting it completed and please be carefull in it.

RICH

Oh yeah, we all still hate you.

How could it be the end? There is never an ending to moding...

keep us up to date though when you get more good stuff on the ride.

I remember when you posted the first couple of threads and I thought you would never finish it.

It came out amazing.

Absolutely stunning!

What's with the rear view camera in your helmet? Makes you look like a Clone Trooper from Star Wars: very cool!

I agree with the others; this is very much not The End (I hope), more the beginning of the next chapter.

(BTW, the black air intake makes the car... )

Mike, I have been following all of your posts on this and find it a text book on what to do. Thank you so much for providing not only the documentation but an education to me on how to do such a project. Please keep up with the information.
