Default UPDATE #26...The Car Will Breath Fire Tomorrow! She's Ready For The Dyno! PICS!

The final touches are being put on the car. Some last minute wiring had to be done which should send it to the dyno tomorrow! We even cranked her, but did not start her.....what a tease to me. Engine has Oil, Brakes have Fluid, Radiator has coolant...you get the idea!

More switches will be put in tomorrow and the panel will be anodized black. The shifter is temporary until the sequential arrives.

This is the laptop port for data acquisition.

The Pedal Box is ready to go!

This is one switch I never want to see if works.

The next 4 Pics show the gearing. Other data will be displayed as well.

It wouldn't be complete without shift lights!

The steering wheel has some of the buttons put in. (i.e. pit speeds)

The fuel system has been plumbed. The smaller canisters you see are the fuel pumps. At the far right, the tube is clear...this will be my indicator to stop pouring!

I have been pretty patient with the whole process but I have to admit I am getting a little anxious as I know this thing is days or so from being done.

I may take a few hours off work tomorrow to see her fire up......maybe!

I don't think i have posted in any of your threads, but i have read every one since you have started this journey.

Congratulations on what is a gorgeous car.

Actually, i just remembered i posted in one way back when you were discussing the paint scheme and i said to go with flat black and painted black to accentuate the lines of the car.

Cab't wait to see the results of the dyno tomorrow!

Josh.

Mike,

As fast as this thing is going to be, those shift lights are going to come in real handy. You'll be so busy doing things like steering and remembering to breath, looking away from the pavement will be virtually impossible!

So when is the first track date and name of your soon to be awakened creation Doctor?

Dean

Thanks for the nice words. The Dyno results may take more than 1 day. Remember, we are using it as a tool not a measuring stick.

Adam Boca was the creator of some of the paint schemes and does it as a side job. He has a great eye for detail.

Dean,

It will be weird as usually when you see a light on the dash it's too late and something is broken. At some point I'll hope to know the car like my Z06 and not worry about silly reminders like tachs, etc...

VIR is looking shaky for too many reasons to mention here. I hope to have it out at Autobahn a few days after returning from VIR.

Hey MIke, it's really coming together. I like Adam's paint layout. Look forward to seeing you at VIR. And seeing the car in Aug. when I get up to Chicago. Is that the paint plan???? JD

Yup a 3" ball hitch for the passanger to hold on too should do the trick.

Look'n GREAT Mike
