Default UPDATE #13...Katech's LS7...Fuel Cell Covers...more to come very soon...PICS!!!

With race season less than a month away for us snowbirds, time is creeping up fast. Katech has lived up to their end of the bargain and has finished my LS7. The Custom manifold and wiring harness should arrive shortly and then we'll be able to dyno this puppy. As far as the car itself, it's back in the fabrication room without a floorboard. We figured out a way to make the Recaro I wanted with side head restraints fit. Not an easy task with the roofline of the Corvette.

These next 3-4 weeks should yield some real progress.

The history is in these threads:

My Z06 will no longer be my fastest car, but it's still my favorite

Thirteenth Post
UPDATE #12...LS7 Katech Racing Engine Pics...Eyecandy at it's best...PICS!!!

Below are a few updated pics. The fuel cell covers came out beautifully and really smooth out the bottom of the car with very little disturbance. Katech's LS7 looks like a caged lion!

Here were the last pics of the fuel cells before the protective covers were made.

Here is the finished look:

Look how the bottom plate finishes off the underside.

Here are the finishing stages of Katech's power-plant!

In the next few weeks things should start happening at a much quicker pace!

Katech's engine reminds when you've just washed your car, you just want to drive it and enjoy the sparkle! I can't wait to get that thing dirty!

When they dyno it are they going to use an engine dyno or chassis dyno? It would be cool to see both.

Gary,

I may Dyno chassis it afterwards. My shop's Dyno is not set up like many others we read about. They use the Dyno as a tool not a measuring stick thus it's not set up for marketing numbers. Different Dynos show different HP and we all know Dynos can be manipulated.
Let me know how much HP you'd like to see, we can set it there!

roboz,

If you like the motor now, wait til you see the manifold.

I'd love a pic of my new beast next to your new two-wheeled ride!

Now think......warm and sunny, warm and sunny...if we think it, it will come.
