Default UPDATE #25...The Body Is Almost Complete And The Wing Has Been Fitted. PICS !!!

As of tomorrow all the bodywork should be on the car. There was great progress made today as many hands were involved. The car is scheduled for the dyno Wednesday. There are still a few hoses and such that will be replaced, but for dyno purposes they are staying on temporarily. This will be the first time anyone will hear how this thing sounds.

The history is in these threads:

Right now there's just a lot of yellow going on. It will not stay like this once the final paint scheme is in place. I will try to post pics of it next to my VY Z06 so you can see how C6R Yellow really differs.

I mentioned the pace would pick up and it certainly has. Here are the latest pics as of a few hours ago. These should give you a little idea on how the shape will be. When all the trim is on, it will be one scary machine.

Here is the MoTec instrument display.

The fuel cells are in and capped off.

Plumbing both sides will be finished tomorrow.

Carbon Fiber Dash!

With a nifty cutout to access the oil tank.

The hood will be attached with four cotter pins.

This seat would originally not fit, hence we removed the floor.

The paint scheme will break up some of this monotony.

Aircraft fuel filler door.

The Pratt & Miller Wing is one of my favorite components of this car. Vetical Slats to be added soon.

I will try to capture the next 2-3 days as the car will almost be finished by then. The interior will be very cool once the switchboard is wired. I'll try to throw up a few more pic later.

She's almost done gang!

Uhmmmm.........let me check, yup still have copious amounts of hate for you.

Just curious, after all the high quality parts you've added have you thought about Dzus fasteners instead of cotter pins?

Thanks for all the love pal!

If I'm not mistaken, Dzus fasteners are not as easy to remove, no? Do they also not need a tool?

Adam,

There are many features like that with the craftsmanship that the camera doesn't show. This is the first car I've owned that I cared about how it looked under the hood. It's simply stunning.

The color is the perfect shade between MY and VY. Once the car hits sunlight, I will take some pics. I think every color possible looks good under fluorescents.

Are you an experienced driver? Will you be able to take advantage of this car?

Mike will be able to "take advantage" of anyone who happens to be temporarily in front of him on the track, that is until they appear in his "rear view" mirror.

Can't wait to see the maiden voyage in person!

Mike figured this would be a fun way to get into road racing. How hard can it be?
