Re: valve seals (Glock'94)

Vitons are the way to go. Machine work to replace valve seals...come on...be real. Just go get a stock set and replace them. Boy, do we try to complicate our lives with crap that is meaningless.

Re: Engine break in technique... (Glock'94)

This is another subject that is loaded with HYPE. Think about this....every car comes off the lot new and is never broken in. people been buying them and driving them off the lot with no changes in...

Re: Poly bushings for the rear suspension? (silver & red CE)

Use them everywhere EXCEPT the diff carrier. Use the stock rubber bushing here...if you don't you'll regret it. Read the posts here and every time someone does something to their it is always THE...

Re: Poly control arm bushings (danno85)

I drilled a bunch of small holes in the bushing and then pried them out with out screwdriver...pretty simple. As far as the torques setting for the top nuts...nobody seems to know. They are the...

Re: Why not to use Bosche +4's (Romeo Barrera)

All this nonsense about spark plugs. There isnt anyone out there who can show any gains from one plug to another. If your fouling plugs or have oil build up you need to fix the problem, not try to...

Re: Prothane, Energy Supension or Hyper Flex? (Vette-in-the-Veins)

I used the ES and they were okay. Didnt squeek and tightened the car up quite a bit. Just dont use them on the bushings that hold the diff carrier to the frame. You will regret it...all the...

Re: Is the crossbar worth the money? (GRX)

I agree with GSX ...All the bar is going to do is move the flex to another part of the chassis. In time you end up with bigger problems. Now, instead of the entire car flexing "a little"....a...

Re: Manual Fan switch what and how? (Red85)

The switch on the passenger side DOES NOT ground the samr circuit. That switch is for your gauge.

Re: [Lowering]: I want to, what do I need.... (scorp508)

Don't listen to me. I've only done a dozen or so. They're your cars... do what you want to them.

Re: [Lowering]: I want to, what do I need.... (h rocks)

For starters, longer bolts doesnt change the spring arch. Second, I would stay away from the poly bushings on the diff carrier. They are too hard and transmit to much noise and vibration throughout...

Re: 1986 automatic trans lockup question? (bjankuski)

Your 86 is acting just like it should. The converter locks up in more than just OD. You can either change the chip, which is a little okay. Or, put a switch in line with the brake switch. I used...

Re: Do stickers on your Honda make your car go faster??? (Andy1983)

Funny...I always wondered the same about putting hask marks on the front fenders of corvettes. Sometimes we are so quick to criticise what others do without thinking.

Re: switched to mobil 1 in my '84, a big change (Glock'94)

What are the facts about this oil? I really don't care about old wives tales. Already too much of that at this site.

Re: Need Battery -- Help!! (JerryR)

They dont make it anymore. The replacement is identical in size but has a higher cca rating. I just replaced mine. The part number the dealer gave me was 19001627 @ $73.48 plus tax.

Re: Rear Hatch Drain Tube Question??? (russell1755)

It will end up in the rear compartment...thats why you need to drill through 2 layers...to get it to the outside.

Re: Leakless Vettes (Jays84Z51)

No they don't all leak. After I replaced the weatherstripping in my 86 I could spray it with the carwash wand it didnt leak. The same goes for my 96. It doesn't leak either. It's not always the...
