Some people think cars look cool with big flames on them.
It's all the same.
BTW, I think both look dumb.

Obviously you do not know the finer details of performance modifying a ricer. First of all, you must know the horsepower values of the various letters of the alphabet. I have noticed that the letter "R" seems to result in the highest alphabet-horsepower-gain. Also, depends on where the letters are applied. You get 10hp increase for each location on the body and 15 extra horsepower when you apply letters across the windshield. Don't forget about the exhaust pipe--the calculation here is a little more intricate. The horsepower increase is proportional to the diameter of the exhaust pipe squared. Similar calculation for the size of the wing you absolutely need across the rear deck except the horsepower increase is a function of the surface area cubed. All of the preceding improvements will NOT take effect, however, unless you remember to install humongous wheels--the goal is to have the wheel well filled almost entirely with metal with only a thin ribbon of rubber. Neon lights and lowering kits are also good for a few additional horsepower but I can go on forever--you get the point. ;)

now dont forget about the yellow, anything yellow multiplies hp by 10, some people argue more but I am sticking to 10hp.

I hear that there are new yellow windshield wipers that are supposed to be amazing.
It comes with a free muffler too. It has a diameter of about 2 feet and sounds like a weedeater.
All of that for only $5,000!!!
Talk about hp gain.

Srickers don't generate hp. They generate vortexes to reduce drag like ones on airplanes. :D I think some stickers are used to make sure you don't miss the car. Those buzz bomb mufflers make the same kind of noise as a 70s import pickup with a bad muffler. They have to be careful what order the stickers go on too. Put them on in the wrong order and all the performance from the exhaust mods will be lost.
The biggest performance problem facing ricers is the extra weight of the sound system. Large amps and drivers and the occasional 10kW generator are needed to power a sound system that can provide normal listening levels when the motor is running.
Ricer performance is big bucks. They frequently spend 3 or 4 times the value of the vehicle just to get enough hp to keep up with your average 170 hp V6.

Stickers on a honda-bad.
Stickers on a Corvette-can be good. Made traversing 7000 miles of public roads more interesting especially by the State Trooper who just pulled you over for doing 24 mph over in a construction zone (1 in the morning!)
And yes they did come off after the event.

Funny...I always wondered the same about putting hask marks on the front fenders of corvettes. Sometimes we are so quick to criticise what others do without thinking.

One thing that you guys missed.... You get a bonus incremental 5 hp boost if your stickers are actually written (or partially written) in Japanese! :D

Flames have been around since the beginning of hot rodding. Some people like them, some don't. There are a few forum members with flamed C5's that look fantastic. Just my point of view.
yes, to you flames look fantastic. To others Japanese writing that reads "this is toast" (yes, it really does read that. the symbol for toast is very close to the symbol for car and the mistake is often made) may look good. Just people don't realize this when they insult a ricer, so I always have to point that out.
This is my opinion.

When I want that little extra boost, I just pull out my dashpad and well, here, look for yourself...

Loved your dashpad wing--which reminds me of another equally dumb thing. Do you think Porsche owners get off on that stoopid flap on the rear that pops up and down according to your speed. Basically that kind of stuff screams "look at me, look at me!"
