As a safe bet, I swapped out the fuel cap seal...

As a safe bet, I swapped out the fuel cap seal (identical between the old and the new). So I am running the original cap with a new seal.

Speed density is definitely more sensitive than the maf set up L98's. Looks like the hunt continues for a refurbed or original working 48mm unit.
