I was once stopped for not having a plate up front. I explained how these car are not designed to have a plate up front after 5 mins of the officer explaining how all cars are required blah blah blah...I googled images of c4's and showed him how every one had no plate.
In summary...CAI's are a waste of money but they look great and Google can save you from a ticket!

In WI, if you get a "fixit" ticket, I'd take the cover off, velcro a plate on, get it passed and put the cover on again. Like I said, haven't been stopped for a long time for it. Usually speeding if anything

For me the open cut intake lid was a mechanical fix rather than performance. The stock 1990 intake lid is metal, bulky and all scratched, I found as these intake housings age it doesn't give a good seal to the bottom of the intake housing. I found I was able to to drive some self tappers into the plastic open cut lid intake to give it a perfect seal and a flush fit.

I replaced the paper filter with a K&N for giggles along with the intake lid mentioned above but not expecting any great HP increase. maybe the lightened weight makes my 1990 go faster LOL. Joking.

Too bad. I threw mine away years ago. Fit rather well when removed

It won't give you much. Maybe a couple HP at the top is all, if that unless you are modified.

I'd go with that for a stock or close to stock system. When you get more radical nd every bit of power matters in a race, we have a different story
