More progress The seals are the hardest part to remove so far
So much glue
Will send the seal mounting strips and send them to be stripped and powder coated

Those weatherstrip channels are a major pain to clean out. Sending them off was a good choice! Find any goodies under the seats?

The sanding has started
Only doing the fiddly areas
And the beaters can do the big flat areas and edges

I found $3.19 under my seats, and several 20 year old french fries.

Hi Dale,

Nice progress on your C4 and great to see these things being treated to a complete make over. I bought my 1990 5 years ago and have gradually built the car up. Interior, suspension, seals, engine and brakes.

Hope you get your C4 on the road again.

Cheers,
Gary.

Thanks Gary

From what I see and read the c4 is a second class cousin to a c3 in the U.S.

As we don't many in oz they are looked up to

Mine should be off to paint in a few week
New interior (seats foam carpet dash and mats )is leaving la
On the 12th
So hoping to get it ready for interior by the time it arrives

Motor should be out by the time it goes to paint
Have a full rebuild balance and blue print

Not sure in gearbox yet it's a4+3
If it all works it will stay if not
Maybe a zf6 speed

Dale

Back of doors sanded
Took around 4 hours per door

Hood removed allowing room to start the detail of the engine bay and removal of exhaust for the new customs polished stainless steel exhaust

Sanding and filling started on front of doors

Hood loaded and on its way for soda blasting
I found the old paint to be very soft on the hood did not try at it as a base
