I installed, laid down, the Blockit mat in the hatch area and behind the seats and they work well.
It doesn't make it church quiet, but, at least my wife and I can have a decent conversation...

Do the rear end spoilers help in keeping the rear cleaner?

I did mine tying the pawl back with wire. I drilled a small hole in it for that. It took about an hour, being careful not to destroy the console or any connectors. It's been trouble free since then.

Yes, ceramic brakes do the trick. I put AC Delco brakes on my 07' C6 with Z-51 code and they work fine with very little dust. I don't track my car, however, the braking is just fine.
