Default Axle Nuts

I have a 2007 C6, 3LT, Z51 coupe, bought in late May of 07'.
What size axle nuts are used? 34mm or 35mm?

I believe they are 32mm.

Hang on before you buy the sockets....more opinions will come...on my 2012 its 33 and I could turn the drivers side with juts the socket and my hand... and I've read the replacement is 34...I've not replaced mine yet so can't guarantee what new is.

I also have a 2012 and bought and installed the old style nuts. They were 33mm. Buy the nuts and take them to Autozone. You can borrow the correct size socket from them through their tool loaner program. That's what I did.

33MM. Torque to 140lb. Put the old nuts on top of the new ones if you want. Torque them to about 100. Will prevent any possibility of them loosening again. Use blue Locktite by the way, not red.

Yeah, matching the socket to new nuts is fairly straight forward, however, I don't know the size of the nuts that are on the car. I don't want to buy a bunch of sockets to check to see which one fits and then never have a use for them afterwards.

You would be advised to read this thread before you torque to 140 https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-axle-nut.html
Particularly read the posts by Dano523 about snapping the axles if you use 140
