I've been running the original MGW shifter in my 2006 for over 5 years now, and it's great. Never had an issue finding any gear. I would never go back to the stock, sloppy shifter.

It's been a looong time since I owned a C4, but if I remember right, all the 96 manual C4s had the LT4, not just the GS, so it wasn't all that special or faster than the base.

Seriously, XM didn't work on this car when I bought it on 09, I had to add it to my plan and activate it.
