I have personally worked on cars after they came out of "competent" shops and their work has always been sub par. I installed mine and adjusted it like the instructions said to and it worked perfect the 1st time. I now have over 8k miles on my car since the install and it still feels smooth and solid since the day i installed it

My MGW should be here Tuesday. I loved my stock shifter (08) and never have had an issue with it. BUT I think something is loose cause my movement while in gear is getting worse and worse. I've taken it off before and didn't see anything to adjust. It wasn't til a few weeks later than I saw a vid and saw the torque tube screw that I didn't notice when I had it apart. I'm gonna be pissed when I go to install the MGW and the reason for all this extra movement is because the screw is loose lol

I have the MGW in my 2006 ZO6 and it's the best. There is NO comparison to the stocker which is a real POS.

I've been running the original MGW shifter in my 2006 for over 5 years now, and it's great. Never had an issue finding any gear. I would never go back to the stock, sloppy shifter.

agree with all the above, but it definitely promotes a bit more noise through the cabin. I added about triple the amount of dynamat

I had this on my 08 Z and loved it. Just picked up an 11 Z and I hate how it shifts after coming from a MGW. Stock shifter may get the job done, but there's no comparison. The MGW is how the Z should of came from factory.

Let us know your impressions when you get it OP. Seeing all the positive comments I might just do the same.

Don't be surprised if they call you tomorrow letting you know the shifter is on a two week back order. Ordered mine on March 17th and it'll finally be here Tuesday. Maybe you'll get lucky and not have to wait

You just simply can not beat the MGW with the lower shift box. Wonderful piece of engineering.

So I gather most like the upgrade once they get used to it. Thanks for the insight, I'm still pondering. ..
i dont see what every one is talking about the 2-3 shift is one of the easiest with this shifter, well really they are all easy. i didnt second guess buying this shifter and have zero regrets that i did
