This is so true, you get what you pay for in radar detectors, with the exception of K40 and RMR. Stay with Beltronics, Escort or Valentine and you will be fine.

Agreed, I always notify them (only had to once so far) for fear of something like this. Fortunately I have been with USAA for 30 years so they didn't care about it as far as rates go.
