Yup I broke it. Just got back from the Chev dealer in antioch. less than 5 bucks for a lesson learned. Not bad.

I asked him if he had a backup in case I did it again HA!

2001 radiator drain plug broken?

I tried to turn the white plastic drain plug on the bottom of the radiator to drain the coolent. It would not come out all it does is turn and no coolent came out. I ended up dropping the bottom...

I regularly get 29 mpg with the 2001. I saw 30 one time. People have a hard time believeing it till I tell them about the rpm in 6th gear.

Front end crack

I thought maybe I was the only one to hit a raccoon doing 70 mph. It put about a 1 inch crack right by the right turn signal hole. But...are you going to drive it or shine it? I'm driving mine. :)

I thought it was cheaper to just buy the heavy coveralls. When I use the 500 watt flood lights behind me it keeps me nice and warm. Of course it only gets down to 40 degrees here. maybe preezing...

Thanks for the info changing the M6 tranny fluid is my next maintenance item since I am at 30,000 miles. Mobil 1 syn ATF is probably going to be my choice.
