Re: Looking for a stinger hood for a 74 (Alwyn678)

Vancours sells them. They are much cheaper than Ecklers, by a few hundred bucks. I think mine was show special priced at Vettes of Carlisle for $375. I ordered mine in advance and picked it up at...

Re: [RANT] Michigan Corvettes = RIPOFF of the Century (Jman)

Dude,
You sound like a cry baby. There is no indication this guy trying to screw you out of your money, he just has a part that is overpriced and you can't afford it. The asking price sounds...

Re: Do All Women "SLAM" Corvette Doors When Getting IN or OUT????? (Paul Borowski)

You guys just don't know how to pick'em. My girl friend is "the mechanics daughter," and it has been ingrained into psyche as a child to not slam any car door, especially the one on my Vette. Heck,...

Re: First time at track: Went slow, had fun! (Fevre)

13's is pretty quick for an everyday, true street car, but not killer fast.
Reaction times are totally separate time from the E.T

Re: Control Arm Bushings (Ybnormal)

It may sound crude, but if you are careful and think about how your arms are supported, my Dad just uses a hammer and chisel. This way you can monitor whether the bushing shells are moving or not. ...

Re: HEI Ignition in 72 small block....How can I hook up stock mechanical tachometer? (Glennm27)

since you didn't mention if there is a problem with the tach, I assume it works fine, but your buddy doesn't want to deal with points, which is why many folks look to the HEI dist. But I suggest...

Re: If you could have one C-3, what would it be?? (68350hp)

The ultimate corvette is the first and only one I have, which is a 73.
When you think about it, all the year models that end in 3 are killer and special.

Re: I CANT KEEP IT RUNNING!!!! ARRRGHHHHH! (mrvette)

I'd confirm the fuel pump is working. You could be using the gas built up in the fuel bowl at idle. Choke the carb would be drawing as much fuel to the engine as possible.

Re: For Sale: 1975 Coupe L48 Automatic (Triple White 92)

Mike,
$11K seems awfully high for a 75. I don't decide what is popular with the public, but 75 & 76 seem to be the least desirable of the C3's. For 11K, you can buy an early C3 in central PA with...

Re: Spare Tire Carrier vs No Spare Tire Carrier (Lidia)

Re: c3 in snow (68shark)

Driving in snow with a fragile plastic car is not smart. Fiberglass doesn't dent, it shatters. But if you must drive the car in snow, find a large empty parking lot and test the road conditions...

Re: Any C3 owners lust for C5s? (Kevin Mason)

Ewwwww....No!

Re: Update on 63 Corvette in a barn owned by widow woman (Ed T)

Re: Is 4.11 gears a good match to700R4? (73 Teach's Pet)

gkull's insight does bring up the issue of driving style. The overdrive lockup in a 700R4 in my 2.73 rear T/A has little to no power in overdrive. I don't put the car in overdrive unless I am on a...

Re: Is 4.11 gears a good match to700R4? (gkull)

Since I have 2 80's Trans Ams, and the 700R4 is a popular automatic in those cars, I can impart some wisdom on this subject, since I have done a lot of reserch on it.

Re: Metal fabricators, need suggestions on custom grill design, materials (ZD75blue)
