I did not do the hood and the install is almost invisible. In over 30k miles I do have two tiny chips on the front edge of the hood. Luckily, hardly anything shows up easily on Machine Silver.

I had the exact situation as you described after...

I had the exact situation as you described after taking delivery of my 08 with POWER TOP. Took it back to the dealer and they buffed it out and it has been perfect ever since.
