Looking at the 77 AIM UPC 6K Sheet 1 there were just 2 different fan blades installed...
My guess would be a manual transmission L82 would have received the 5 blade fan A/C or not...

FYI to OP:
GM Part Number 14004971 is for a 79-82.
That LPS socket connector is for the more modern fuse panel.
77-78 used the same buzzer.

IMO you are reading the fusible links as good, only because they are tied together by the 3/8" eyelet...
The wire(s) that are burnt in half is your fusible link(s).
The fusible links are labeled A...

Install them in the upper bell housing trans mounting holes.
Once the trans is hanging from the studs...relax a moment...

The bulb itself does not have a real long life.
The bulb number is 558.
Look on ebay for a GE bulb....

At the end of the lever there is a small socket. There is a sping & small bearing in the pivot bracket that secures the lever in place so it won't fall out, so yes there will be resistance pulling...

The F/M connector in your photo (Black Wire) lands at C143 Purple wire. (C= Connector)
The eyelet lands at chassis ground....

Remove the steel line and inspect the mating...

Remove the steel line and inspect the mating surface of the brass elbow. If you see any deformities replace brass elbow.
