Looks to me like you have the wrong pulley on the generator. There should be a space approx. 3/8" between the back of the pulley and the front of the fan.

There was a change in hoods and radiator supports for 1960 and early 1961 top tank radiator cars. 1961 hoods changed again when they went to remote surge tanks and a top/center rad. mount. :cheers:
