Nice car... Little expensive

A guy on the forum just bought a 50th anniversary for $31,000, 3000 miles. Although he didnt buy it on this forum.

If that was an attack, then I need to go back to vocabulary school. He gave a very reasonable response to your inquiry regarding interest in the car.

Give the guy a break, he's trying to sell his car - don't like the price? Move on - no need to offer editorial comments on how he has HIS car priced.

This sure happens alot on this forum for no good reason...

My 2 cents,
TJ

There is a serious lack of reading comprehension skills among many Corvette owners. We won't even go into the atrocious spelling and grammar.

If I say, "Why isn't my car selling (or why isn't anybody showing interest)?" And someone responds, "Your price is too high based on the comps."

Was that an attack, or was it constructive criticism? Ever since Troy made that post about attacking prices, the Corvette Crybabies Club jumps on every post that mentions price. Get a tissue and get over yourselves.

I agree, not an attack. Just bringing the sellers back to reality. Nice car.

Let's talk about relevance to the thread. Frankly no one cares if someone else bought a similar car on another forum for 10 cents.
Troy's post was direct and to the point - don't criticize a car owners pricing. Period. Can't handle that? Post elsewhere. Get over it.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out - We're not talking "cry babies," we're talking about playing by the rules. Move on.

Sorry for giving a etiquette lesson on your thread Corvettj.

No Problem, could not have said it better. I was not asking opinions on the price as much as I was asking if some one was interested.

I see the same cars selling all over the place (e-bay autotrader etc) for the same price or more, Here in the NW Covettes seem to bring a higher price, but I have long noticed that the buyers on the forum are deal hunters, (not that there is anything wrong with that)

again some people think any 2003 in a Anniversary model, which is a different story altogether, a 2003 Roadster maybe could be had for 31k, but I doubt a true Anniversary.

OH well on to the auto trader,

thanks

I think it is reasonable Just had two go in our area for #38k with no mods. I think the one that went for 31k must have been a coup. If someone knows of a vert with that kind of mileage for 31k then let me know right away. Lots of mods on this one and I would think 40K would be right on. Good luck on the sale.

Don't make negative comments on a for sale thread! I agree there is a serious lack of reading comprehension skills.

If someone is selling something for 40 and someone posts they saw it sold for 31 then that is a negative comment. It hijacks the thread is against forum rules.

I suggest you have a moderator close this and start another for sale thread. This thread is useless now for selling your car. Believe me this thread will not sell a car at this point.

I am at a little bit of a loss here. If someone posts that they think the price on a Forum members car is a great value, that is an appropriate post. If on the other hand another person of equal integrity posts that they think the price is high, then that person is not being fair or playing by Forum rules. If both of these statements are correct then maybe the Forum just needs to not allow members to respond too for sale posts, but merely send an email to the seller. That should be fair to all. In my humble opinion, if you want to post a vehicle for sale here and aren't getting the responses that you want, you should accept that either your vehicle is priced to high or the right buyer hasn't come along yet.

He said "Hmmmmm, No Interest?"

I tried to give him an answer.... I wouldnt of put anything if he didnt say that. It was constructive critism, but hey its not my car you can list it for $100,000 for all I care. I even tried to do it with a smile!

Why do you think it went 10 days with no comments..... Good Luck with the sale... You will need it...

Bashing As Follows.....

Although he's looking for a 6 speed, everything else fits.
