Thanks! I removed the passenger seat and stuck my head up under the dash and is couldn't find anything that looked like it would move the door. I'll try your method and see what I find.

I have a 93 and it has Phillips head screws holding the bottom. The tops of both of mine have bowed out a little but there's a solution for that on this forum usings l-brackets.
