And the coil leads were all the same color. Red for power, yellow for tach and black for ground. The modules should all be original GM.

The coil that just went out was in the car for about a year...

Sorry I didn't clarify further. The distributor came with the motor so it's a stock (I'm assuming) GM coil. The second one I put in there was in fact a used one out a motor in a car I'm restoring....
