Default Targa "head pads" - what years had them?

What MYs were the rubber pads on the sides and back of the targa top OEM equipment? I don't think my 96 had them on either top, my 94 doesn't but a replacement top I saw did....

Never heard of such. The acrylic top that came with my '85 did not have any and the solid top I bought didnt have any either.

Got any pics?

Hlhn: it's just a few strips of molded rubber along the inner sides of the frame, supposedly to cushion one's head if it contacts said frame.

My 84 did not have them but I bought a 87 top and it did have them. Not sure if original or if someone put them on.
