Re: Just VENTING (74BBcherryred)

Drive the bridge, or make trips a couple of times a year for parts to places like Hershey PA.
Screw those taxes! Canada is a cool place. Lots of nice folks, but I hate the exchange rate. :mad

Right, had my part numbers mixed up.
The lars paper is the way to go. Learning how to fix one thing is okay, but the key to keeping a holley happy is to Understand how the Entire carb works as a...

Re: Help: No high rpms (stock70SB)

Not to be overly simplistic, but it sounds like the fuel pump.
First of all, why did you change it? Did it puke gas out on the floor or just crap out?
Second of all, where did you get the new one...

Also, check the power valves for blow out. They may be leaking.
Check the accelerator pump for proper adjustment...

Re: building a stroker...need advice.........Please...yah, thats the ticket (LATNC3)

If you are on a budget, then don't worry about a stroker. Just rebuild your 350. For all the money you spend on your mill building a stroker, you can build one helluva 350 based lump.
And if it's a...

Re: 2 Questions for those mechanic's out there... (Northwest79)

Response to Q1:
Don't jack up the car on one side and jackstand it. You could be killed. Try using drive-on car ramps if you need to slither under the car. The rear can be jacked up to have stand...

Re: I think I made a big mistake removing the distributor. (norvalwilhelm)

:iagree:

Very often, you can't rely on the timing marks unless you are using aftermarket parts.
For example, an early 429/460 ford bb timed straight up will give you 0 degrees. The same engine...

Re: Bigblock engine troubles in Belgium part 2 (bbvette74)

Sounds like your starter is suffering from heat soak. (not to be confused with heat stroke) :-) The starter is probably shot since the copper inside has probably changed structure and is out of...

This is an interesting subject for me.
I'd like to hear about your carb, settings, and the way you were using it. Fuel pump, etc.
the edelbrocks, on occasion are set for economy. And, as with any...

Re: factory data for lt-1 engine (A C)

Hi AC,
Thanks for your reply.
The car isn't trying, as apparently a lot of cars are, to be cloned or passed off as an LT1 car. It's a car the owner had back in the seventies, had to part with so...

Re: factory data for lt-1 engine (MidShark)

Ok, thanks for the information midshark.
Now, does the 350/350 in the car translate to an LT1 or an L46 engine? Or is there another engine code I've missed?
I found some data on the body too. A...

Re: Holley 3310 plumbing problem.....any thaughts? (The Money Pit)

I wouldn't rearrange a bunch of stuff just so I could have a pressure gauge on my fuel line. I'd just return the part, or make another one from scratch that suits your application. Steel line isn't...

Re: Let's talk 350ci 350 horse engines. (lampedusa)

The Holley carbs website (holley.com) has a cfm formula that can help you pick the right cfm for your car's engine.
The high winding, solid cam, high performance lt1 works well with the 750 because...
