So are you saying it's possible to modify a car with a splined drive opti end to a pin type? I know you can change to a cam with a pin end . I'm not changing the cam now at this stage maybe later....

Be carefull if you just go by rear bolt pattern. I believe the year beore the dana 44hd came out they made a housing with a bolt pattern like the dana 44hd but it has smaller side bearings inside....
