Lookin' for some tranny help/info

Have a 2000 with the manual 6 speed.
For some reason is started "getting stuck" in 6th gear, and kicks out of 5th.
To be specific - when you put it in 6th, it goes in as smooth as can be. But...

C1248 isn't in my manual (mine is a 2000) so I can't tell you it's specific meaning.

The EBCM can be got online for $325 plus shipping (new)

Sounds like you already know what you should do. Not really frequently talked about failure that I've heard of. But, if its not expensive, you have to figure the $ vs. PITA factor. :D
