Re: the real deal for the c6 (cramey)

Oh, and on the length; at first I thought the front overhand looked shorter as well, but 4 inches is ALOT.

Also, pictures posted side by side seem to show the rear overhang AT LEAST as long on the...

Re: the real deal for the c6 (2k2C5)

If I weren't racing stock class, I would sure as hell have a stroker heads and cam car, with forced induction. A 3000 pound brick needs at least 700 to the wheels to be really entertaining, IMO.

Let's talk important issues, given the latest info I've seen.

Re: what's the XLR have to do w/ the C6? (Rocketblock)

FYI I crawled all under an XLR and I can tell you that all the suspension hard parts are c5 corvette. This is not a bad thing. The basic pieces, other than some bushing problems, are very well...

Re: C5 vs C4 handling (rgregory)

I could speak for days on this subject. I have raced at nationally competetive levels in several c4's in stock, and a z06 in stock.

The 84-87 vettes handle best, bar none, at least on tighter...

Re: BSP C4 with 17x11 and tire sizes (Buck96LT4)

I have ccw's (for sale) in 17x11 8" bs, which fit substantially better than the 7.8" or so the GS have.

I had them on a VERY low 96 and they did not rub. (Car is also for sale)

Anybody dyno'd without exhaust section after axle, or systems with no other mods?

Really curious what the cat back exhaust is worth in hp/tq with no other mods, from low rpm's all the way to the top, but I sure would like to save the dyno time & $ if someone has already tested.

Re: Has anyone run in the 11's in stock Z06??? (03 Z06)

My very first time to run the car at a strip, and first attempt to ever launch the car hard at all, was a 12.04 @ 117.4, with a 1.90 60'. I only launched at 3600 or so, and there was a cross wind...

Re: C-3 with 430hp - keep up with a stock Z-06 in 1/4? (spokewrench)

Actually, the flywheel and crankshaft would measure the same hp, and 405 is the same as the 435 rating. However, the 435 does not really make 435 either.

THe z06 puts 350-360 to the wheels, and...
