It is sad but the local Bill Heard does the same thing. I no longer have anything to do with them.

Re: DONT GO TO BILL HEARD (joe03z06)
I would call the regional manager and voice my complaint with them. Also I wouls absolutely never take my car to the ever again because there seems to be something wrong with the service manager not caring about an employee abusing a customers car like that :steering: :cuss

Re: DONT GO TO BILL HEARD (joe03z06)
Sorry to hear that. I've taken my car there and they seemed really nice. Is Mike Guerro (spelling) still there as the Service Writer?? Also the Shop Foreman (who's name eludes me but I think its Alan Bragg) used to be one of the C5 Techs and is also really cool. Did you speak/shout with one of them.
Try Corvettes of Houston or Mac Haik. I've had both do oil changes and you shouldn't have a problem. At COH you can watch your car start to finish, and they are a Supporting Forum Vendor. At Mac Haik you'll get your car back in about 20 mins and they don't have enough room at that dealership for any screwing around in the parking lot. :nono:
At least they still have great deals on the Corvettes  Last time I was there, everything had a $10,000 market upcharge on top of MSRP

First thing I would have done is rip the kid out of the car and beat his f**kin' azz!!!!!!!!!!! I do all of my oil changes at COH and all my warranty work at Mac Haik. Either one is about 40 miles from where I live and it is a good excuse to drive.

I just added my choice. Giant dealer owners like Heard are only worried about money from the average GM customer, they don't care about you.

Oh God, I would probably lose my mind... I would have demanded to talk to the general manager or the owner. It would definetely been reported to the local BBB

Bill Heard has been known for years as rip-off artists on vettes. Sad to hear this report on their service. Other vette owners have generally been pleased with Heard's service dept.
I bought my car 27 months ago from Mac Haik. I believe their service department is one of the better ones at Chevy dealerships. I have had three warranty repairs including the BIG ONE (Rering) done at Haik. I have been very pleased with the results and I always get the car back (including the area of repair) so clean its like it was never touched!!

Want to get their attention? Wait till this thread has a few dozen posts. Then print a copy, find the owner of the store and hand it to him. Follow that up by mailing copies of the thread to your local Corvette clubs and send a copy of that correspondence to the store owner too. Eventually, he'll get with the program.
As an aside, several years ago two lot porters from a local Dodge dealer staged a drag race on the street in front of my house. I drove to the dealership which was two blocks away, found the store manager, described in detail what I'd observed including descriptions of his two employees. (I should add that one of the cars they'd used had paper tags, which made this an easy "who done it.")
The manager called the two gents to the showroom and fired them on the spot. I think that most responsible managers would do the same. It's more than just bad business to tolerate this, in most states it's a crime. It's called "theft" when you leave a car for repairs and a store's employees steal it for a joy ride.

Unfortunately, I've heard alot of negative things about Bill Heard. Its sad there are so few dealers too trust.

Re: DONT GO TO BILL HEARD (z06vetteman)
I've had bad experiences with Bill Heard in the past and am truly sorry to hear about this. In my ever so humble opinion, I would have had the porters neck in one hand and the service managers in the other while kicking in the door of the general manager/owner's office. They would have MINIMALLY bought me a new set of rear tires, noted in the computer the miles they added to the vehicle (25 minimum in this incident) to extend the factory warranty (yes, it's true, milage the dealer puts on during service is not included in the 36,000 IF it is documented correctly) and I would have pushed hard for at least one if not both of the heads to roll. If I had been ignored, the police would have been called and the lawsuit papers would have been served within 24 hours. :mad
It's too bad that there are so many people who don't pay attention and/or care enough about what goes on at the dealership that will continue to buy from places which are consistently problematic and keep the jerks in business.
Somebody owes you BIG.
Just my $.02

Pay 45K+ for a car only to have it whomped on by some idiot punk??? I agree with those who've said to take this up the ladder as far as it needs to go to get some sort of satisfaction. Call Chevy/GM district/regional/mother lode. Write them as well! :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad
Don't let these clowns get away with this.

Re: DONT GO TO BILL HEARD (Tom T.)
It's amazing how people treat other peoples things! I would be pi$$ed , you should call who ever you need to get something, at the least new rear tires,as stated earlier. Write Chevy e-mails every day untill something is done, call them every day untill something happens! I'm really sorry that some ignorant ba$tard would do that to anybodys car! :mad :mad :mad :mad

Re: DONT GO TO BILL HEARD (joe03z06)
That unprofessional business practice gives everyone a bad taste and is not good for the overall image for Chevrolet, let alone this particular dealership.
