Are the cooling features on the body functional?

my vette (non-z51) does not appear to have ducting from the back quarter panel vents above the wheels. it appears to be blocked off. The rear exhausts molded into and integral to the tail lights...

someone will beat their chest about a 445 hp dyno run tho. count on it.
