Exactly. What I discovered is a 24F is for a Ford. A 24 is for GM. The posts are reversed depending on which battery.

I have a 62 vette and I know it takes a group 24 battery. But I've seen the posts reversed as well. I need a picture or NCRS guidelines to make sure of propped installation.

I've had my '62 for 30 years now and never gave it a second thought that I didn't have the fiberglass fuel tank cover. Even after restoration of my '62 I never was concerned about missing the cover....
