Painting my red interior and exterior 62. Trying to find what color was underside of hood and trunk door on original productions. Can anyone help me. Do they match exterior or some people say they were black even on red car.

Semi- flat black under the hood. Interior trunk is exterior color.

The underside of the hood is black semi flat..interior trunk lid is exterior body color.

Don't forget the body color border around the inside of the hood approximately 1.5 inches wide.

Correct..But open to interpretation...most paint them black.
