I needed to purchase new seats, so I went the easy way and purchased new foam already covered. They look great, but I can't figure out how to get the new seats to fit into the clips on the frame...

I also have a 79 and I installed Pioneer 6”x9” and they were a perfect fit. I am pretty pleased with the sound considering the price. The Bass is also fine.
