Default Brake Pads Recommendations

I have to replace my brake pads on my 79 (Feeling pretty mushy and they squeak pretty loud). I see many different types out there. Any suggestions or recommendations for the best pads for a "Drive it every chance I get" driver? :steering:

Hi Mike,

I would buy the cheap Organic brake pads, they are easy on the brake rotors and they don't squeak.
I had a set of semimetallic pads and they were very noisy.

Onmy 63 I have a set of praise dyno brake semi-kevlar shoes. These things are amazing and have a leftime warranty. They claim that they are easier on rotors too. Here is a link. http://www.praisedynobrake.com/

For the fronts I have "Performance Friction Z carbon metalic" For the rears I have Performance friction ceramic metalic.

The reason is: My 79 has always had right rear lockup problems with my large sticky tires

:iagree: Organic for street use... fading should not be a problem in normal use.
