Default Parts from Vansteel?

Has anyone purchased products from a company called Vansteel? I'm in the market for complete Trailling Arms and I was looking through a copy of Corvette Enthusiast and I say their add. Their Trailling Arm packages are about a third of the cost from companies like Ecklers or Zip Products. I have never purchased from them so I wanted to make sure I am going to get a quality product. Has anyone had any experience with them or suggestions on a better place to purchase Trailling Arms?

Thanks :flag

I can't say from first hand experience yet but I am sure there are many who can. Van Steel is a highly active supporting vendor of this forum. I look forward to the time when I can send my business thier way. You can also probably do a search and find many people who have posted thier ways through some installs and after thoughts about Van Steel products. Most recently I think Grandsport put on the carbon fiber drive/halfshafts from Van Steel, dont hold me to that though.

Just wanted to add, and dont hold me to this either, but I think Van Steel's bread and butter is the trailing arm setups/rebuilds?

Thanks for the info. I have to say, I was very impressed with their quick response. I requested a catalog this morning and sent them an e-mail asking a question. I had a response in less than an hour. From some companies you get a response the next day or sometimes never. I think I will have to place an order. Thanks again.

Yeh, no lie, VanSteel knows their stuff there, I think they supply lotsa stuff to VBP, but don't quote me on that....If my car wasn't allready built years ago, I would shop there in a heatbeat....might have to yet....

One of the best venders. I have their offset trailing arms and the video on suspension. Vansteel and the First Detail is all you need.

I have the entire suspension from them, including tubular upper and lower control arms, fiberglass springs-front and back, Bilstein shocks, bushings, etc. Anyway, I've spent a couple thousand dollars with them and it has been over several months, so they get my repeat business and for good reason. The customer service is superb. Dan has gone above and beyond to help me out especially when it came to finding a hard to find u-loint related part. They are FIRST RATE.

I bought a SB chrome oil pan from them, not the greatest quality. Not show car quality, that's for sure. Made in China or Taiwan or one of those places, can't remember what the sticker said. :nonod:

Van Steel? First rate operation. They did a beautiful job on my trailing arms and strut rods. Be sure to get their suspension video if you are going to do any suspension work. Van Steel was very helpful and prompt for me.

Dan from Van Steel is great to deal with and their products are awesome. Both of my cars are basically Van Steel chassis. I think they are going to add on a new wing to their facility and name it after me because of all the money I have spent with them over the years

Dealt with them once and it went well.

A book I'm reading "How to restore & modify your Corvette" list this about them "Van Steel, Art Dorsett has been rebuilding Corvette rear bearings asemblies for several decades. I doubt if anyone can match his company's experince when it comes to Corvette rear axle units."
