Re: What to do? Worth it? (Papakorn)

Pass on that Vette.

I vote for the 69 Chevelle out of your other picks. Yeah... Heavy Chevy!

Just the same though, look for a '69 coupe!

Finally, I am back in the USA!

The Crew at Race Street Rally did the pre buy inspection on my vette. Ended up buying it from the third party guy in Oakland and drove it back to Texas. I was more than satisfied with their vette...

Re: Was the pop-out rear rear window standard in the early year C3s? (Rick Church)

I just stash mine over the wheel wells in the back. The T-tops slide in nicely underneath and there is still room for a mini playmate (6 Shiner Bocks) and a couple of gym bags plus the speaker...

Re: Does anybody use those rims?? (GrandSportC3)

OMG! Haven't seen deep dish slots in over 20 years. They were quite the rage at the drag strip in the late 60s, early 70s.

Don't think I'd put them on my vette though. Kinda like the rallys.

Re: OT/Cubic Inch to liter conversion RE: 67 GTO (Barry's70LT1)

My BAD, was thinking 383 for the Vette. You are correct it was a 389/six pack. My dad had the combo in a sleeper white '65 Goat. It would absolutely smoke anything on the road. What a thrill riding...

Re: OT/Cubic Inch to liter conversion RE: 67 GTO (Barry's70LT1)

A lot of Goats, 65-67 also came with 383 and a 6 pack. If you do have a 396 under that goats hood, you have got some torque! They were almost indestructible.

My 2 cents

Re: Strait pipes with baffles???? (Aaron-74)

Absolutely. I have 245/60/15 and 3.70:1. 77 MPH (speedo) = 3400. But look on the bright side, you are just a little tap away from max torque! :yesnod: Really wakes 'em up on the highway when you...
