Correct YouTube URL for my Vette for sale

My EX-wife gave me a similar choice with my old '81 Z28. Unfortunately, I got an offer a few hours after I put the for sale sign on it and sold it. I wish I still had that car. I should have put a...

The same way you would: gasket scraper and scotchbrite.

Don't lay a fat bead of 3M; just thin coat it in a few places to hold the gasket in place.

Make sure the distributor rotor button is installed.

I used to forget it and crank, crank, crank, call friends, ask for their help, etc. before collecting my wits and checking the simple stuff.

Using the ported vacuum below the throttle blades?

Timed vacuum above the blades will always be less and was used for emissions purposes only. Longer duration cams will result in less vacuum as I recall.

The thicker cork gaskets worked for my cheapo valve covers.

Regular thickness cork leaked at the back corners. Thicker one solved that using yellow 3M weatherstrip cement between valve cover rail and gasket with nothing on the cylinder head side. Glue the...

Lars can help. Just follow his instruction and you'll be happy.

Get Lar's paper on setting your timing.
It made all the difference in the world on how my engine runs.

Let's make a deal. I don't know how many splines but I can pull mine off to count them if need be. PM me.

Adjust the pump shot on the carb when you hit the gas.

Insufficient fuel shot will cause a stumble and/or backfire. Ignition timing under a load can maybe too but probably the accelerator pump on the carburetor is your issue, I believe it can be...

I made my own. Spot welded it to make sure it held together.

Never had to worry about it failing again. Nice avatar pic, by the way. SCCA? Nothing sounds better than a big V8 on a mile long straightaway at Road Atlanta, except one of the old BRM V-16s on...

Looks like you have enough stud left to grab aholt and unscrew it

I'd limit my efforts on repairs to an hour then just go buy one and be done with it. Broken bolts, EZ outs, welding, back and forth to buy tools, etc. could turn it into a nightmare and you still...

Thanks, the kid next door is skinny if the monkey can't. So you're saying just push the cable thingy in with gusto and it will clamp itself? Will try it tonight. Thanks again, cuz.

That rings a bell... "a cleaner way is to put a carburetor jet in the pushrod"

That's what I overheard a funny car mechanic tell a guy with that problem -- pipe cleaners or the carb jet. Have no idea exactly how they did it or how long it lasts. I'm just happy to remember...
