I would suggest Citrustrip.

No health hazards and its easy to find at Home Depot and its cheap too.

I had great results using Citrustrip and I did my whole car.

Did not leave any residue or anything.

A couple of tips though,

1) use a razor blade to take the top coat of paint off it...

They are the only ones that make side pipe or any headers for that...
