Here is a tip. Install 3/8 nuts on the shift linmage rods. When you are happy with the linkage adjustments, use the nuts as jam nuts to keep the linkage arms from twisting.

Just aheads up. I talked to a Guy that relocated here from Texas. To regester his Truck they had him pay sales tax on the book value. I am not sure how long he owned his truck before...

The best shifter for that 69 is a Competition Plus # 391-7992. It has a bend in the shift lever which allow clearence of the console for reverse. Make sure you use the correct linkage...
