do not waste your time considering lower than a 3.54 with that stock tpi. I'de just grab a dana 44 out of a wrecked vette with either 3.33, 3.45 or 3.54 gears or what ever you can find.

I did not know they made hyd. roller cams with that much duration and so little lift. Seems like a flat tappet cam to me.

sorry to hear of the problem. This is one thing that concerns me with the Z...not a conventioal sbc so if you cant do it yourself then finding somebody qualified is a challenge and costly.

I checked the kelly blue book value and the ZR1 holds better value than the LT4, and it is 6 years older!

The LT4 in my opinion is more pratical interms of cost of maintence and availabilty of qualified people to perform the maintence.

But the ZR1 is bad as hell and also 6 years older.

put the sensor in the "OUT" end of the tranny fluid line. Knowing the temp when the fluid is leaving the transnion is more critical. This is the real time operating temp versus cooled fluid going...

no. you can only install the lower intake manifold and not the upper or you wont be able to run the throttle body cables to the throttle body.
