Have you considered installing the skip shift eliminator? First thing I did on my C5 and then again on my C7. You can still skip gears at your pleasure, but I prefer not being forced to do so.

I for one would gladly pay a premium for the joy of shifting my own gears. After my C3 M4, C5 M6 and now C7 M7...that's the end of the line for Vette's for me unless GM re-introduces a manual...

I liked them on my C3 back in the day as there was lots of side rubber on the 15 inch wheels then. DIdn't have them on my C5 and neither on my C7 now.

Same on my C5! I did scrape my C7 rocker bottom also but it was just sanding & painting...the C5 needed fibreglass bonding repair, but our long term indie body shop did a bang up job on it.

Agreed...I generally have never done this on my sports cars or daily drivers...the one time I decided to with a newly bought vehicle, I found that it didn't extend the wear at all so stopped doing it...
