Have you considered installing the skip shift eliminator? First thing I did on my C5 and then again on my C7. You can still skip gears at your pleasure, but I prefer not being forced to do so.

I for one would gladly pay a premium for the joy of shifting my own gears. After my C3 M4, C5 M6 and now C7 M7...that's the end of the line for Vette's for me unless GM re-introduces a manual...

Same on my C5! I did scrape my C7 rocker bottom also but it was just sanding & painting...the C5 needed fibreglass bonding repair, but our long term indie body shop did a bang up job on it.
