Thanks Bob! She really only needs to be sanded, painted, and have some trim replaced. Beyond that she's good to go. I work 70 hours a week and just don't have the time or place to be a paint shop)

If you haven't lifted the rotor out before it started running bad, then never mind, but start googling top dead center. There's a nice tutorial done by MSD on YouTube.

I still maintain that you need to find top dead center and find the proper rotor tooth location....

The "extrusion" off the side of the dizzy should be at a 90* angle to your plenum.

I had the same problem in my '86. The distributor rotor had skipped (i put it back wrong) back by one tooth.

We have a winner, the wires must have faded with time as they are now pink and white, however the plug went into the bottom of the wiper motor without issue, thanks again everyone.
