Re: Trouble code under 28-TCS C1233 H C (C-5 TECH)

I'm getting a similar code, C1235 and/or C1238 (the right-rear wheel speed sensor). C5Tech, could you elaborate on what has to be replaced? Is it just the harness from the weatherpack connector on...

Re: Black Hills Corvette Classic (Dalannex)

I'll be at Sioux Falls, but I don't think I'll go to the Black Hills- when I heard the drag races were on a 1/8 mile track, I kinda lost my interest. Gives me more time to visit friends and family...

Re: Those with LGM headers - how did you.....???.... (binksZ06)

Wow- you learn something everyday! I went out to check my headers, and I've got the AIR tube on the #8 as well. But I've got a 2000 coupe, so maybe that's the reason. I didn't realize there was an...

Re: Those with LGM headers - how did you.....???.... (binksZ06)

Huh? BinksZ06- how recently did you get your headers? I got mine last November and I had no problems with the AIR tubes getting hooked up. Initially the flanges were slightly off, but a little...

Re: NE1 using LGM headers? (C5 YA)

Changing the oil filter is no different, the headers don't get in the way at all. The spark plugs are easy to change too, maybe even easier than with the stock manifolds, since there's more space...

Re: NE1 using LGM headers? (binksZ06)

Me too. I love 'em and they make great power. It's easy to swap out the cats with the off-road pipes if going to the track, although with the cats in they do hang down kinda low.

If you're...

Re: [Austin] Anything going on July 23-30th?? (Future MD)

There's always plenty of stuff to do in Austin. Going out downtown on 4th and 6th street is good fun if you're into bars and live music, and Lake Travis and Lake Austin are good for outdoor...

Re: blackwing or vortex intake? which is better (Jeff Jeff)

I had the vortex for a long time- drove it through the heaviest of rain (through some storms where I had to pull over it was so bad) and had no issues at all.

But something I noticed changed my...

Re: PCV modifications..... ('97 C5)

I'm running both the LS6 valley cover and the C/H filter. I get a little bit of oil in the filter ONLY if I go to WOT, otherwise normal driving doesn't accumulate any. In 3000 miles I've got about...

Re: Anyone with G2 Headers?? (BigLew)

I have a 2000 coupe and have the G2's installed on mine. The fit & finish is good, although for installation you either have to get your car on a lift to install from the bottom, or take your heads...

Re: Need part number for Radiator Shroud. (pewter99)

Here's what you need:
SUPPORT, RAD LWR 10254256

I got one from my local dealer a couple months ago, and I don't recall exactly but I thought it was around $40.

Re: Replaced my FLP's with LG Motorsports headers (bparker)

Your results sound just like the differences between my car and a friends- we have the exact same mods, except I have the LG's and he has the FLP headers.

We saw the same power curve differences...

Re: Install Z06 Ti Exhaust (powellrb)

I did the Z06 Ti conversion on my 2000 coupe(M6) as well. I measured 24" clearance under the bottom of the rear crossmember(the rearmost rib) and that was BARELY enough to work them in. I had my...

Re: WTB: Used Laptop (Maalox)

Hey that's no problem. I was just curious how much one would cost me, since I'm thinking about getting LS1 Edit it would be very useful to me. Thanks though!

Re: Interesting ditty in OM about 6-speed... (EHS)

Here's another reason-

The M6 (and M12) has the reverse-lockout mehcanism. It's the thing that keeps you from shifting into reverse at forward speeds. When you turn the key off, the solenoid...

Re: C-5 Front Spring broke potential defect (Docyit)

I just took my 2000 coupe in for the same problem. While changing the oil I noticed a crack/fracture on the driver's side near the mounting bracket of the crossmember. I took it to the dealer and...

Re: [Austin] RCR tonight? (Scott97)

As my first time out to the track, I had a good time. My best was 13.6 at 107mph, so I guess I did ok. Pretty cool to see all the LS1's there, as well as some other cool cars.

Thanks for lending...

Re: At home heads/cam install finished (mrkln)

After personally seeing the install proceedure on his C5, I have to say it's just like jmX says- turn a wrench, follow his instructions, and you're good to go. Nobody who wants to mod their cars...

Re: Auatin- how much for dealer oil change? (C5King)

I've never taken mine to a dealer(yet), but you can change the oil yourself for about $26. Walmart has the synthetic Mobil 1 oil that the factory uses, which runs about $22 for 6qts(the manual says...
