I'm going to be in Austin for a week, no I wont have my Vette with me since I'm flying :cry but I am interested in any events that you guys might have going on that weekend. I'm seriously considering moving there next summer and thought it would be cool to meet some Texas Vette nuts!! :lol: Let me know!! :seeya

:withstupid: I hardly ever hear of vette gatherings here in town. I think there is a Corvette Club, but I don't know of anyone who belongs to it. Not even sure if it's still around.

Nope, there are more of us. I just seem to be too frickin' busy to do anything. This weekend will be nice too with the cold front. Hell its only 85 now with little humidity.

For those interested, the Longhorn Corvette club is very much alive and they are pretty active. There isn't anything going on the week you are going to be here but they are plannning Auto cross on the 12-13 and the annual Corvettes @ the Diamond is going to be in mid August.

Well now I feel like a dumbpoopie. Sorry! Well I didn't get an email and I went out and had some fun downtown. Even if you are of the female persuation, you still could've come out and had some fun.

I think you are confused.....I'm not going to be in Austin until JULY 23-30.....so, naturally, going out this last weekend was out of the question :lolg: :rofl:

There's always plenty of stuff to do in Austin. Going out downtown on 4th and 6th street is good fun if you're into bars and live music, and Lake Travis and Lake Austin are good for outdoor activites- me and some friends go wakeboarding quite often there. Plus the hill country offers some great roads for driving action- too bad you won't have your car to enjoy that :sad:
