I agree with Red. I had a complete clutch change and 3k miles later the NEW Slave Cylinder began leaking. Loved paying twice to have it pulled down.

Thanks Saber. Car has 160k on it. I did a full R&R at 120k of everything from the clutch back. This doesn't mean something hasn't gone south. My new GM slave cylinder started leaking about 3k miles...

I had this problem back in the day, 2000 a year after I bought my '99. I switched to using just Shell, Chevron and Texco based on a Forum post and havent had an issue since. BTW 164k and still goig...

I did this mod when I replaced my knock sensors. Hardest part of the whole thing was getting the small vacuum hose back on the rear of the intake. Ended up extending it and all was good.

Hang in the 66BBDriver. Temps today up to 77, but a cold front Sunday down to 50's brrrrrr. This is why I've put 155k on my DD '99 in the last 11 years. :thumbs:
