Sorry to hear that but, you know, $h!t happens and you get it fixed and move on. I have actually gotten used to coming out to the garage every couple of weeks to see the Mrs. has put aniother "blem" on her ride.
It'll look great when you get it back from the shop.

Sorry to hear of this, I had to have my drivers door replaced, Just make sure you have a good body shop that can paint, Also be aware you will get a used door, There are no new doors to be had anywhere, Again make sure the body shop has a really good guy that can blend, If not you will be able to tell it was painted. In my opinion you would be better off with a used door than a skin.
Good luck with the repairs.

Yes , that would be a moment of total and complete heartbreak
look on the bright side you'll have an extra door so get it skinned and you'll be ready for next time
seriously though if i got a used door i would pull all the parts from my damaged door, just in case I need a part or two

So I'm having a great day after hearing some great news and then on my way home this happens:
Driving in my narrow garage, turned the wheel too soon and scraped the wall on my passenger side door and rear fender. I felt my heart come out of my body
Body shop says door and rear fender need to be replaced as well as painting the entire side...
I hurt my baby

No seriously, lots of us have done similar things and changed our lives forever...
Hope you get it fixed perfect.....but the mental scars will last forever ...

Unfortunately I wack my car around all of the time. I have a good shop that knows what they're doing and the car comes back looking great everytime. Things just happen and there's not much that you can do about it except fix it and go on.

Go speak to several body shops about the repair and pick the best one. I had a little "oops" a couple of years ago now on my '07 where I dragged the right rocker panel over a curb because I mis-judged the turn...yeah, I know...duh...
Anyway, just found a body shop out here that said he could repair it. I already bought a new rocker panel and had it painted to match but its a PITA to install as its bonded on with special adhesives and etc..This shop was able to fix my oops and sure enough, you can't see it at all. On top of that, this car is in Montery Red, metallic tint coat...seriously, you cannot see the repair at all.

Bad news
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I too have a narrow garage, I sprayed the far wall with a red strip and now all I have to do is line up the red stripe with my HUD display and it's in and I have a set of tire stops on the floor and once I go over the first bump I put the car in neutral and shut it down. The car is in perfect position.
Like Mr. Bill said, I had a little accident in my 2003 and it needed a passengers door, had to buy a 2002 door as that all I could get. Good luck ! Bad luck is sometimes the best education in many ways.

That's a really tough break, but accidents do happen. Don't beat yourself up about it - just get the car fixed and enjoy it again.

Drifting
I'm doubly careful driving into my garage every time I take the Vette in OR out. I have plenty of room on both sides but I guess I'm just protective. My wife's SUV barely clears both sideview mirrors when she pulls in/out; I'm waiting for the "clunk" on one of those mirrors.
