In case you don't look at the C7 threads. Check out the latest Road & Track. They have a couple of pictures of the new C7, due out as a 2013 model. It has hints of the concept, but toned way down....

C5 is a real easy one to mount an exhaust plate...

C5 is a real easy one to mount an exhaust plate to. No bolts to losen, just 3M tape to the gas tank.
