Default Exhaust Plate question

Will any exhaust plate work with any exhaust? About to get one and wanted to make sure that I didn't need to worry what catback I have or whatever.

I'm installing a Corsa Extreme on a C5 Z06.

Thanks.

I have Corsa Touring cat back on mine with an exhaust plate. No problem and highly visible.

The exhaust plates that attach to the underpan trunk area with double sided tape will fit with any exhaust system.

C5 is a real easy one to mount an exhaust plate to. No bolts to losen, just 3M tape to the gas tank.

If it's the stick on type, yes it will work with any system, but if it's a clamp up style - it won't. The billet style is a three piece set up which clamps around the exhaust pipes filling the gap in between - it also brings the plate further aft more visible. They did make a verson for the after market exhaust pipe size, I bought mine before I did my exhaust mod and had to open up the half round openings to fit around my larger pipes then atached it to the beam above. - came out nice though. Chrome plated billet Aluminum with 50th
emblem...

uh , no
it does not tape to the gas tank

the gas tanks are behind the seats , up in front of the rear tires

The stick on plate will fit all the exhaust types that I can think of.

You can also do it with industrial strength velcro. It sticks like a sumbitch, but you can remove it to clean (quite handy) and/or reposition the plate as much as you need to get it mounted straight.

I would not trust the double sided tape. My plate fell off. I siliconed my plate. No problems. On ebay they are selling GM stainless plates for 30.00. in case you did not know.

3M double-sided tape is the bomb, but you must prepare your surfaces for it all to work. Otherwise, it will fall off.
