Commuter - Volvo or Saab ?

Looking for a 4cyl car under $5K and these cars come up from 2001 to 2004 as reliable on Edmunds. Seeing some around 100K miles on CL.

Remind yourself that you are going to drive this car and the paint is not going to remain 100% perfect anyway. You'll be able to keep it that way for a while but eventually the real world will catch...
