I was going to but...

The rain congealed into some sort of weird white stuff and stuck to everything.

The other problem is that when I go outside for any length of time my hands go numb and I start shaking...

We have 4 kids too.

The oldest is 30, the next is 28, and the next is going to be 25 soon and the youngest will be 16...

What manifold are you running?

I just put an 1806 on my Edelbrock Performer 2101 and it was a distinct improvement over my old Q-jet.
I think I am going to install a Performer Air-gap to help keep the fuel charge cooler.

Still a work in progress..

I bought it so I could:

1. Drive it
2. Do mild performance mods
3. Enjoy it
4. Do more stuff to it
5. Continue driving it

It works fine for me...

My 350 /290 with an Edelbrock 1806 starts, idles and runs fine with the vacuum advance line hooked up to full vacuum.

Magnaflows for me...

I have Magnaflow's on my 78 and it sounds great.
I am running Flowtech headers, true duals with a cat on each side.
Without the cats it was a little on the loud side when I got on it.
