Interesting. Tell me more.
I Googled it and did some reading on their site. Started out as a personal plane motor and graduated to racing boats and then automotive.
I can't find any prices but with the numbers or prices.

Well, it'd be cool as hell, hard as hell, and having a V12 bolt right up with a stock bellhouse pattern is amazing. I would have to completely reconstruct the rad core support and move the radiator but I think it would fit.
Not to mention, on pump gas, normally aspirated, they range anywhere from 600 to 1000 HP.

V10s rock on the torque; we have a Ford V10 in our 15 pass van. It never needs to downshift, even over the steep hills; just keeps rolling. But, they just don't sound right--just think of two Corvairs--with one missing spark on a couple of cylinders. I'd hate to put a set of Hookers on it and broadcast that strange tone. IMHO, nothing sounds as cool as an American V8 winding out...

a few years back I when I was on the UM-Rolla Formula car team we were getting some stuff machined at GM Powertrian's machine shop facility and while we waited we decied to take a look around. Back in a room (door was wide open) were about 10 or 15 engines dyno crates with rating tags. All were of LSx orgin, and at least one of them had 10 cylinders! Wish I would have had my camera with me at the time. I doubt you'll ever see GM make a V-10 however, with their v8 line making as much power or more power than the v10's from dodge and ford, why bother really, its just more things to go wrong.

Yeah I Googled LS V10 and got some info on their LS V10 project. They did make many prototypes but scrapped the idea in favor of a turbo charged 5.7 and turbo charged 6.0.
I like the power offered by teh LS motors but it's hard to ignor the sheer low end grunt force of a V10. I got the chance to drive a Viper ACR a few years ago. I have never before done over 100 MPH that fast. I swear the only way I could keep my arms out on the wheel was because I was white knuckling it.

GM does offer a 5 cyl. in some trucks, it's a POS. In typical GM fashion they released it and let the driving public beta test it for them. Several parts (heads, cam, valvetrain) are on their 2nd or third pn. I was in a dealership this week where a tech was replacing the top end at 36k mi. BTW, those clever folks in the Rennesance Center are thinking about putting two of those together to make a V10. Run away, run away....
